On Sunday 2 June we are also thrilled to be joined by NECPWA (The Tyneside and Durham branches of the North of England classic and pre-war automobile club), who will be displaying a fantastic selection of cars, where you can look forward to seeing anything from a Bentley or a Rolls Royce to a Ford Escort.
John Nicholson, NECPWA Treasurer commented "It's always nice to be able to show our cars to the general public in such an ideal setting, which the village certainly was, and hear the comments from the visitors of "my dad had one of them", we went on honeymoon in a car like that" and many more”.

We will also be hosting a 'Dad's Army' inspired day on Sunday, which will be delivered by our very own volunteer co-ordinator John Saddler, who commented:
“This Sunday at Bede’s World I will enlisting the help of visitors to join the Jarrow on Tyne platoon in guarding Tyneside against the Nazi invader, however I will be advising visitors to watch out though for spies and saboteurs as the platoon keeps watch on the vital Enigma machine. Children joining us will be able to ‘hunt the spy’ and try their hand at drill training as well!”
For further information contact Bede’s World’s Reception on 0191 4892106.  Bede’s World is located just 2 minutes from the South entrance of the Tyne Tunnel. Bede’s World, Church Bank, Jarrow, Tyne & Wear, NE32 3DY.
