Classic Car shows comming up
This weekend sees the NEC Classic car show in Birmingham
More details are available here: http://www.necclassicmotorshow.com/
Another show I have come across it the inaugural The London Classic Car Show, 8-11 January 2015, ExCel London
The show is backed by the group that produce Top Gear and are behind the CarFest event that Chris Evans promotes for Children in Need. From their site;
“We pay homage to the greatest classic cars, creating a themed avenue running the length of the show. Over 40 influential and desirable classic cars from over nine decades beginning at the turn of the last century will be driven and paraded along The Grand Avenue throughout the show. As the cars line up in their dedicated bays we will be able to see an evolution of the car extended across the avenue with each lying ready to start and drive over each day of the event.”
Tickets start from £13

Herald 13/60 restoration on more 4
There was a good Herald 13/60 saloon restoration on More 4 last night on Car SOS with Fuzz Townsend.
you can watch it on demand for the next few weeks;

Tim and Fuzz head to Cornwall to save a poorly 1970 Triumph Herald, a much-cherished motor that has been left standing in a garage for over four years due to its owner's tragic family circumstances.

AGM and First meeting in new venue
Good meeting tonight in the new venue, The Dunn Cow, at Bournmoor, while The Travellers Rest is being refurbished we will be there until January. From the sign in sheet it looks like we had 21 people there with at least 8 club cars.
There was lots of discussion about future social events and plans for Christmas, so watch this space and the email list for updates.
It was the AGM tonight too and Geoff was elected as the new Area Organiser with Deryck as his deputy. Yes they always dress like this for the AGM :-)
Many thanks to Mark who steps down as long serving AO.
